Hi there, thanks for visiting my listing!

I’m Emma - tea lover, dog mum and owner of Blackout Creative Co.

I love helping small businesses elevate their look through kick-ass branding and website design.

As a small business owner myself, I know how hard it can be having to wear alllll the hats. You're a specialist in your field, and then suddenly you have to be a marketing guru, accountant, designer and web developer (just to name a few).

It's always such a thrill watching a clients vision come to life, and seeing how a fresh new brand and / or website helps to elevate their biz.

So, a bit about my experience...

I’ve always been a bit of a creative type, so being in a design role comes as second nature. Before starting my own business, I worked as a marketing / communication specialist for a number of well known corporates including a health fund, accounting firm and university.

It was there that I realised I’m not made for harsh office lighting and the 9 to 5 life.

If you looked at me on paper, it would say I have a Bachelor of Communication (Majoring in PR) as well as a Cert IV in Graphic Design, plus 10 years of industry experience. But that doesn’t really show you who I am!

So, a bit about me...

I love to run and spend time outdoors with my husband Josh, and our two rescue kelpies Louie and George - I mean, Iiving in a place like Newcastle who wouldn’t!

When I’m not at my desk drinking waaaay too many cups of tea, or in my music room having a sing, you’ll find me out and about enjoying everything that Newy has to offer!
