I'm Carla. A girl, a mum and a tea lover.
Growing up, when we had tea it was to help with an ailment. Have a cold? Have a lemon & honey tea. Feeling sick? A ginger tea. Can’t sleep? Some chamomile. That’s when my experience & love for tea and the power of herbs started and it never really stopped. I can’t tell you how many times I went out to “coffee” with my mum or my friends and would sit there with my hot cup of tea as they sipped their lattes.
Years later when my mum became ill, I looked more into the healing power of tea, herbs and all things natural. Although she wasn’t a tea lover, she did humour me and drank all the concoctions I had found and made for her and always called me “My Tea Girl”. That is where the name was born.
Apart from the fact tea is delicious and healing it is something that is so rich in history and tradition which I absolutely love. The beauty of tea is that it is also an experience and that is what I want to create for you. From the experience of Japanese tea ceremonies of the past to the art of making tea cocktails of the future, I’m here for all of it.
My aim is to bring you teas and herbal infusions that are organic, sustainable and that help you feel good, look good and creates a happy space in time.
