My name is Vanessa, and I've been a professional photographer for over two decades! That's a lot of time to photograph people, weddings, products, babies, models, buildings and so much more. I've done it all! I've won prestigious awards, and I've studied all sorts of genres of photography. |

I started my photography career working for various music magazines and newspapers, covering gigs on the Gold Coast, Byron and Brisbane. It was super fun because I combined my love of photography and music. I met many influential people and saw a tonne of live music. I photographed some incredible people in their cool spaces and loved every minute of it. But then after shadowing a very talented wedding and portrait photographer on the Gold Coast for a while, I realised I had the talent and the urge to start my own business, but in a photojournalistic style..... Then I did a wedding and wedding bookings started to roll in. I ended up photographing absolutely anything that was thrown my way. At night, I studied madly with photography mentors about how to run a photography business. I also honed in on edited photoshop skills late into the night. As the years of success rolled by, I realised I really wanted to niche down into a specific area of photography, people. I am now focused on being the best headshot and portrait photographer in my area. |

The old saying, "The eyes are the window to your soul" really is true. This is definitely something I love to bring out in everyone I photograph. I am always asked what is the one thing that you need to create a great photo, and my answer - Is connection! Without it, you have blankness and ....blandness. |

Within the photography sessions, I create a connection with everyone I photograph; you can see and feel the confidence they have when they're in front of my camera. I make sure my clients feel comfortable and relaxed, and I fully direct them, so they don't have moments standing and wondering nervously about how to position their bodies and where to look. This is an experience I provide, not just a photo shoot. |
